CLASSROOM SHORTAGE A THREAT TO LEARNING AT CHICHIRI CAMPUS
The Malawi University of Business and Applied sciences (MUBAS) Chichiri campus is facing challenges in their learning processes due to limited number of classroom spaces available. The Chichiri campus harbors generic, continuing Education Centre (CEC) And the Malawi Institute of Legal Education (MILE) students. This creates more pressure because the number of classroom spaces available do not equal to the students. Most of our classes are postponed because we usually find big classes which can occupy our class of about 80 students that they are already in use by other classes, said Catherine Hassan year 2 Generic student. “it is pathetic and unfair game at this recognizable university to see students scrambling for classes each and every single day because of few classroom spaces available, so it is my appeal to the management together with the government to take an action,” said Hassan.
